Celebrity Christmas Babies and Engagements

Two baby boys have arrived in celebville over Christmas: Alanis Morissette gave birth to her first child - a boy called Ever Imre - on Christmas Day.
Today Elton John and his partner, David Furnish, have announced that they are proud fathers to Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, who was born to a surrogate in California, also on Christmas Day. Nobody is saying who the father is...
Hmm, when will a celeb give their child a normal name?
Well, Natalie Portman might... She announced that is engaged and pregnant - all in one go. Meanwhile happy tweets from Indonesia as the love of Lily Allen's life proposed to her, and she joyfully accepted. After all the recent trauma of her miscarriage, Celebritree is pleased Lily has a happy ending to her 2010.

Lily Allen hits the town again

After her recent miscarriage and subsequent illness, Celebritree is pleased to see Lily Allen up and about again as she ventured up to the big smoke from her country abode. She was in London for the opening of an envelope (ooops! Miu Miu's new store) and was looking chic in a winter white coat and little black dress, with Chanel handbag.
Hopefully Lily will start to feel more like her old cheery self sometime soon.

Sad news

Some sad news in celebville today after it was confirmed today that Lily Allen lost her baby this weekend 6 months into her pregnancy. She had had to pull out of an event over the weekend, but it seems it was more serious than first thought. No doubt Lily will be comforted by the tweets from fellow celebs such as Myleene Klass and Emma Bunton. (celebritree wonders if these people are actually friends or just hopeful of getting their tweets in the papers?!)

Retiring Lily Allen now has whiplash

Lily Allen suffered a nasty fall at the exclusive Wolsey restaurant in London. Following her slip, it seems the first thing she did was tweet the news to the world, as she was suffering a "hurty wrist" - Celebritree assumes that wasn't a doctor's diagnosis. Since then she has actually had to check in with the medical profession, and it seems she is suffering from whiplash - more tweeting followed.
Lily's really working hard at her retirement and fading into the background while she focuses on family, isn't she?

Lily Allen still trying to disappear

Lily Allen is still trying to disappear, after appearing at The Big Chill festival and telling the press how she is suffering dreadfully from morning sickness. Here she is pictured heading out for lunch (no doubt after a few hours chatting with Huey on the big white telephone) and looking a bit miserable and generally not that happy with the world. She seems to have thought she could hide behind a lamppost. Someone should probably point out to Lily that hiding is going to get more and more difficult from here on in...

Lily Allen pregnant

Lily Allen returned from her supposed self-imposed obscurity in the country to announce that she has achieved her dream of starting a family - as she and boyfriend, Sam Cooper, are pregnant. They've been together a whole year, so high time they got on and started a family!
Lily suffered the devastation of a miscarriage back in January 2008, with then boyfriend, Chemical Brother, Ed Simon, so decided to say goodbye to her partying London lifestyle and retire from music, aged just 25, to focus on having a family with Sam.
Celebritree is pleased to see that Lily hasn't disappeared completely (even if she is trying to hide behind her own headlines...)

We've all heard how Lily Allen is planning to retire and have babies in the country with her boyfriend, builder Sam Cooper. So keen is she to "fade into oblivion" in the next few months that Lily has been telling any media that will listen how she is popping folic acid tablets in her bid to get impregnated. Just in case anyone's not interested in that story, she's also been telling the world how the BRIT awards are a fix and her award this year meant nothing to her.
Lily - word to the wise - if you're not interested in media attention, probably best not to air your opinions quite so widely...

Lily Allen - is she or isn't she?

Lily Allen surprised everyone earlier this year when she announced that she was retiring to the country at the tender age of 24. Now she has set tongues wagging again by saying that she is planning to take 5 years off to have a child and spend time being a mum. Recent photos of her with a bit of a tummy (or wearing an unflattering outfit) suggest that she is well on the way to achieving this ambition. However, Lily has denied this - and been pictured puffing away on a fag. So, watch this space...

Sobbing in the Fulham crowds

Fulham FC doesn't exactly strike Celebritree as the most glamorous of Premiership clubs, but a couple of celebs were spotted in the crowds in Hamburg, watching their team in the Europa League final. Who knew that Hugh Grant used to be a groundsman at Craven Cottage and has been a lifelong Cottager? And it seems Lily Allen is a big fan too, as she struggled to hold back the tears as her team lost out after extra time.
