Gazza Gets Involved

In one of the more bizarre celebrity stories, Paul Gascoigne managed to get involved in Britain's biggest man hunt, for on-the-run gunman, Raoul Moat. It seems Gazza had had a skinful (nothing very unusual there) and had then taken a cab from Newcastle up to Rothbury, where half the British police force seemed to be assembled in an attempt to ambush one man. Gazza arrived, armed with a can of lager, a mobile phone, some chicken and a dressing gown, as he approached the police asking to talk to his "old mate" Moaty (as Gazza has previously claimed to be good mates with the pope, nobody really took him seriously). Gazza seemed pretty convinced that he could offer Moat (who used to be a bouncer in Newcastle) some therapy and sort him out. Sadly, the police didn't let Gazza go in and bring the stand off to a peaceful end (could he really have fudged it more than the police?!) Even more surprising, today comes the news that perhaps Gazza actually DID know Moat... I'm seeing a new role for the lost sheep that is Paul Gascoigne - chief negotiator for Britain's police...

Gazza's tears again

Former World Cup hero, Paul Gascoigne, was (probably) left in tears again last night as he was hospitalised following a car accident. Gazza wasn't behind the wheel, but was one of two passengers. The female driver was arrested on suspicion of drinking and driving after crashing her Vauxhall Astra into a lamp post.

His family are seen here visiting him at Newcastle General Hospital. Gazza is not believed to have been seriously hurt, thank goodness.

Jordan-alike

Celebrity step-offspring Bianca Gascoigne has been making wedding plans... She met her boyfriend, Scott Sullivan, who was dating Jordan when she met Peter, at the V Festival in August last year - so let's face it, they're positively slowcoaches when it comes to putting a ring on Bianca's finger in celebworld. (Celebritree wonders what attracted Scott to Bianca - could it be that she is morphing into his ex?)
Still, reassuringly Scott has said that he does plan to ask Bianca to marry him at some point. Bianca needs no further encouragement to start planning her dream wedding: she's already decided that she wants two big days - one in Scotland "because it has nice castles" and another on a beach somewhere hot - no doubt so she can show off her bikini body...
Let's hope that Paul can make it to give his daughter away!
