Weddings Galore

Well, this has been a weekend of celeb weddings. The one that most of the media are focusing on is the Clinton wedding. Thankfully the Clintons are very civilised and have released a series of photos of Chelsea smiling broadly in her Vera Wang designed dress. Celeb guests included Vera herself, Madeline Albright, Ted Danson and Steve Bing (love-rat father of Liz Hurley's son, Damien), but the majority of guests were friends of the bride and groom.
On this side of the Atlantic, the wedding of pregnant Alicia Keys to her recently divorced rapper boyfriend, Swizz Beatz, took place on Corsica. This was a much lower key affair, even if it did have a pretty impressive guest list - including Bono from U2 and Queen Latifah. The bride wore a flowing white gown, while her groom wore a white tux and pink shirt. Hopefully we will get to see some photos soon.

The Wedding of the Year?

The wedding of the year is happening this weekend. And Katie Price is nowhere in sight! Yes, Chelsea Clinton is marrying her fiancé, Marc Mezvinsky, at Astor Courts in New York State. Seeing Chelsea hailing a cab in NYC today, it looked like the pressure of being a bride was starting to take its toll on her, as she looked pretty tired. Her parents have been playing their part too: apparently, Hillary has been micro-managing the event down to the finest detail, whilst Bill's been on a diet (imposed by his daughter) to ensure he looks his best when he walks his little girl down the aisle. Celebritree supposes the $3m wedding bill will help Bill tighten his belt...

Strictly Rumours?

The BBC have apparently decided to up the ante in their recruiting of celebs for this year's Strictly Come Dancing. Bruce still hasn't signed on the dotted line, apparently. However, rumour has it that Gary Lineker and his new wife, Danielle Bux (who is anxious to raise her profile as she'd like a TV presenting career - wouldn't we all, love?) are about to sign up for the show.
According to The Sun, Jonathan Ross's resignation from the Beeb has come as a blessing to Strictly fans - it gives the show a bigger budget and they have high hopes of recruiting some big name stars (not that WAG Danielle quite falls into that category).
Here are the others supposedly on the 'wanted' list:
Victoria Beckham - please do it Victoria! Can't see it though - she'd be more likely to do the US version...
Amy Winehouse - really?!
Chelsea Clinton - she'll be a newly-wed so seems unlikely.
Monica Lewinsky - what is she doing now?!
Kimberley Walsh - quite possible, especially with Nadine dragging her heels over Girls Aloud's reunion. (Where IS your solo album, Nadine?)
Patsy Kensit - unemployed, separated, has time on her hands.
Lembit Opik - unemployed, like Gary, probably has a partner "who wants to raise her profile" - highly likely!
