So Katie and Alex's wedding went off without a hitch yesterday. Err, sort of. The mêlée of photographers, desperate to get an exclusive pic of the happy couple (hidden behind sheets, umbrellas, in an A Team van), fell foul of the ITV bouncers and the cage-fighting fraternity guest contingent. As a result, one pap had his face shoved in a flower bed, before being held up against the wall of the church by his throat and threatened. When a photographer tried to get a pic by opening a door of the A Team van, a charming bridesmaid reacted by flipping him the bird. Nice (let's hope that wasn't Princess).Inside the church wasn't much better with several of Katie's allegedly 'close' friends having their names read out before the ceremony and then being turfed out of the church on the basis that the bride had decided that she didn't trust them.
After the half hour ceremony, it was suggested to the happy (money-counting) couple, that, to avoid any further scuffles, they might like to pose for one photograph. They turned this opportunity down (no doubt fearing a loss of cash) and another scuffle resulted.
Now, let's not forget readers, this was all about Katie and Alex and celebrating their happy marriage together with close friends in the Lord's house. Mercy!
