Fashion disaster?

Apparently Cheryl Cole is rethinking her outfits for the rest of this season of X Factor, after general consensus ruled that Dannii is beating her hands down in the alleged fashion battle. It seems Cheryl had been going for an "edgier" look this season (ah, so that's what that gaffer tape was doing wrapped round her legs - or was it just trying to detract from her lip-synching?) but it has seriously backfired as Dannii's chic ensembles have proved far more popular.

Cheryl's not so triumphant return to XFactor

Cheryl Cole has finally made her much-anticipated return to X Factor filming (amidst news that she will abandon the show next year for the US version). However, things aren't running quite as smoothly as Cheryl would have wished. The "judge's house" that Chezza has been assigned, in glamorous Berkshire, turned out to be a building site with builders dropping scaffolding and cleaners vacuuming to interrupt filming of the hopefuls' first auditions with their potential mentor.
Turns out that isn't the only thing to go against Cheryl. As Celebritree reported, she was keen to recruit Derek as her no.2 to help with the auditions, but seems she has been over-ruled by the X-Factor bosses, who say he just isn't a big enough star, so Will.i.am has been drafted in instead. Celebritree really isn't sure how Derek would have managed his Dancing with the Stars training and X Factor mentor support at the same time anyway.
Still, at least all these difficulties mean that Cheryl dominates the press and keeps fellow returning judge, Dannii out of the headlines.

Single Cheryl returns to the UK

Cheryl Cole (or SHOULD it really be Tweedy now that her divorce has, at last, been finalised?) arrived back at London Heathrow this evening after her extended break/recovery in California. Good friend, Derek Hough, has gone back to work, training with Jennifer Grey (of Dirty Dancing) for the new series of Dancing with the Stars. Cheryl arrived at Heathrow rather laden down with luggage and required some assistance to fit it all in her car. She and Dannii Minogue are soon to return to their X Factor duties, amidst rumours that both of them could be facing their last series (with Cowell rumoured to be ditching Dannii, and talk surrounding Cheryl suggests she'll be concentrating on the US series - if they understand her Geordie lilt, presumably...)

Has Busy Bee Brian taken a Bashing?

Errr, actually, no. It's apparently just make up as Brian has decided to resurrect his singing career and has been working on the video with girlfriend, Delta Goodrem. Apparently this offering is called Mistakes and is about a disastrous relationship. Anyone in mind, Bri?
Still, he's keeping his hand in with all the talent show judging malarkey, as he's apparently set to appear with Delta in The X Factor as the couple help Louis work with his chosen contestants. It seems Dannii and Cheryl are letting their hearts rule their choices: Kylie's going to be giving Dannii a helping hand, whilst Chezza has enlisted Derek.
Meanwhile, Simon Cowell has apparently ditched poor, faithful Sinitta in favour of Kelly Rowland (honestly, I bet Kelly could never manage to sing Toy Boy with a straigh face - what is he thinking?).

Cheryl home and ready for visitors

Good news readers! Cheryl Cole has finally left hospital and is continuing her recuperation at her Hurtmore home. Mother, Joan, is keeping a vigil by her bedside and guarding her daughter to ensure she keeps to her doctors' advice (Chezza is facing an alcohol and sex ban, allegedly) and to protect her from any unwanted visitors...
Talking of which, Ashley is back home in Blighty after his lads' holiday in the US. It seems Derek is still hanging around, overcome with guilt that he is to blame for the malaria, whilst Will.i.am has been showering Cheryl with bouquets of flowers and is said to be planning a trip over to visit.
Derek's Dancing with the Stars partner, Nicole Scherzinger, has extended her stay on X Factor to cover for Cheryl and Dannii's absences, although apparently Cheryl is keen that her Girls Aloud mate, Kimberly Walsh, should keep her judge's seat warm until she's fully recovered.
Talking of Girls Aloud, Joan is keen for her daughter to catch up with her bandmates. However, it seems unlikely that Nadine is going to be hot on the heels of Ashley and Will over the Atlantic. Apparently the first Nadine knew of her bandmate's brush with death was when fans informed her via Twitter (Celebritree wonders is anyone ever picks up the phone any more, or even emails, does everything just get announced via Twitter?), although, obviously she's very concerned, as her granddad had it. So, can't see a Girls Aloud reunion on the horizon any time soon, especially with Cheryl's solo album release postponed (it was scheduled for October), which makes Celebritree wonder - where is Nadine's long-promised solo effort?

And welcome to the world, Wylda Rae Taylor-Wood-Johnson!

Well, Dannii Minogue really let the side down by choosing an incredibly normal name for her new son. Thank heavens then for Sam Taylor-Wood and her toy boy, Aaron Johnson, whose baby daughter was born at a London hospital yesterday, called Wylda Rae. Again, the news broke on Twitter. Yawn...

Welcome to the World Ethan Edward Smith!

Dannii Minogue gave birth to a son, Ethan Edward, at hospital in Melbourne, after she was forced to abandon the planned home birth on medical advice. Boyfriend, Kris Smith, was by her side throughout. Of course, the news was announced via the ultimate celeb announcing service, Twitter...
Dannii said just last week how much she was looking forward to getting back to work with the X Factor auditions and catching up with her fellow judges, but for now the family are staying at their home in Melbourne, with much of Kris's work in Australia.
Auntie Kylie is due to visit soon, although she is currently on a promo tour of her new album.

More X Factor Rumours

Apparently Natalie Imbruglia is next on the list as stand-in X Factor judge whilst Dannii is on her maternity leave. Seems that Pixie Lott has had to postpone due to a diary clash and, let's face it, Natalie's diary just seems to revolve around gooseberry dinners with Walliams and his new wife.
Pixie will put in an appearance later in the series, whilst Katy Perry is also in the line-up of Dannii's understudies.

More obscenities from Brian McFadden

"The fat one from Westlife" (quote: Kerry Katona) has been making his ex-wife looking very classy of late. He's been laying into the lovely Victoria Beckham, entering into a foul-mouthed Twitter rant calling his ex-wife a "pig-faced mole" and now his latest obscenities were caught on camera for Australia's Got Talent when he told a British comedienne to "f*** off back to England". In a gross understatement, fellow AGT judge, Dannii Minogue, described the moment as "really uncomfortable."

One thing's for sure, the "nice guy Brian" image has well and truly slipped.

Kylie riding high

Well, certain Celebritree followers will be pleased to hear that Cheryl's "nation's sweetheart" moniker may have been attributed a little prematurely. A Millward Brown survey has revealed that the nation's most powerful UK celebrity is honorary Brit, Kylie Minogue, beating Chezza into second place and Beckham into third.

Meanwhile, rumours have it that Simon's search for a replacement for Dannii could be over as Kylie may have agreed to step into her baby sister's shoes as stand-in whilst Dannii is down under giving birth. The battle for the nation's hearts will then be played out in full on a Saturday night...

Jobs for the X-Girls

Well, there have been plenty of rumours as to who Simon Cowell would recruit as a judge for his new US version of the X Factor. Lots of people thought that he would favour Cheryl Cole and give her the opportunity to start afresh in the States after her marital problems.

However, it seems that Simon has another lovely lady from his life in mind: headline star and ex-girlfriend, Sinitta! Sinitta, always ready with some worldy wisdom for the much younger Cheryl has apparently suggested that she try elocution lessons so the Americans can understand her Geordie accent...

Seems that's not all of Simon's recruitment issues resolved though. Dannii Minogue's baby is due whilst X Factor is filming and she is keen to give birth in Australia, meaning he needs another X Factor judge for the UK. Any suggestions, Celebritree readers?
