Dancing on Thin Ice?

With Strictly all over for another year, the star-studded line-up for Dancing on Ice has now been announced. The list seems never-ending (including Frank Lampard's ex, Elen Rives; Richard and Judy's daughter, Chloe Madeley; former Neighbour, Craig McLachlan; the usual token Hollyoaks lovely, Jennifer Metcalfe; father of Jade Goody's kids, Jeff Brazier; ex Corrie stars, Steven Arnold and Denise Welch; Vanilla Ice, Angela Rippon and, star of the show/car crash waiting to happen, Kerry Katona). The novelty this year is that some celebs will be voted off before they even get chance to skate - probably a relief or the show could go on for 3 hours! However, things are looking rather worrying for Kerry, who has apparently fractured two ribs in training. She was seen at a Peter Andre concert clutching her side, looking in some pain, although that might just have been Pete's performance...

X Factor backstage

Kimberley and Nicola were at the X Factor final on Sunday and dashed backstage to Cheryl's dressing room after the result was announced to console her for failing to win with one of her acts for the first time. The girls managed to bring a smile back to Cheryl's face - or perhaps she is just dreaming of her escape to LA where she will get to spend lots more time with Derek Hough / move in with Will.I.am, depending on which reports you read.
On the Girls Aloud front, Nadine's lack of success hasn't put off the girls - Kimberley is guest vocalling on Aggro Santos's new single (the one nobody knew from I'm a Celeb) and planning to release an album in the new year and Nicola is planning to take a break from fashion and make up (hmm probably best based on this photo) and work on some solo material too. So it really doesn't look as though Girls Aloud will be reuniting any time soon...
Elsewhere, it seems Konnie Huq has been fired from X Factor and top tips to replace her include Kimberley and Christine Bleakley...

Blondes have more fun?

Katie Price is currently enjoying a break Stateside with her hairdresser/make up artist friend, Gary Cockrill. Seeing the California sunshine has obviously had an effect on her style, as Katie has decided to go blonde again. This has sent the rumour mongers going as Katie once claimed that she is always blonde when pregnant. So has Katie finally got her wish to be Reidonated? Well, she's denying it for now...

Katie Lashes Out

Now, Celebritree is not usually one to stick up for Katie Price and her media rants, but on this occasion, Celebritree actually feels a wee bit sorry for Katie. There has been huge furore after controversial comedian, Frankie Boyle (who Celebritree had the misfortune to see live once - he's not funny and he can't take a bit of heckling as he stormed off after about 2 minutes) made a highly inappropriate joke about her and Harvey on his Channel 4 show.
Apparently the joke started that she and Peter Andre were still in court battling to avoid custody of Harvey and then descended into sexual innuendo. Amazingly (and Celebritree doesn't want to come over all Daily Mail reader here), despite Ofcom complaints, Channel 4 didn't deem this unsuitable material and broadcast it again.
Katie is demanding an apology. Celebritree can't see Frankie Boyle giving her one...

Cher Lloyd leaves X Factor with a bang

Unsurprsingly, Cher Lloyd was the first of the X Factor finalists to be voted out, despite the fawning attentions of Simon and Cheryl. Clearly she wasn't going to win, as the public just didn't like her (or her attitude) enough, so not quite sure why the producers/Lord Cowell went to the trouble of seemingly changing the rules to get her to make the final. Still, she got to duet with Will.i.am, and she even managed to avoid blubbing when she was told she was first out.
Seemingly it was a different story backstage, as she threw another of her infamous tantrums, claiming that she didn't "give a f***" as she would be the biggest thing ever to come out of X factor anyway and that she knew they'd all hated her from the beginning, but with Cheryl's support, she's sure she'll make it big.
So, as the nation awaits to see who will make it to be Champion this year, former X Factor winner, Steve is playing to Cafe Neros around the country - audiences of about 20 people! Still, Celebritree assumes that that still beats his previous job, as bin man. Steve claims that Lord Cowell offered him £12,500 to go away, and that he wasn't supported in his career at all. The £1million record deal one off for the winner is a sham, allegedly, as he received nothing like that, and, in fact, 16 acts have been signed during 6 years of X Factor shows. Errr, but how many of them can anyone actually name a year or so later...?!
So, will Cher make it big? Or will Cheryl head off to the States with Derek, Will.i.am and Lord Cowell (ooh, and mum carrying her luggage five paces behind) or will she stand by her mini-me and help her hit the big time? Only time will tell...

Liz Hurley and Australia's Great Lost Hope

Australian cricketer, Shane Warne, has recently been in the papers as his national side have started to crumble against the England team in the Ashes - the Aussie team needs him back, despite the fact that he retired a couple of years ago. However, now he finds himself in the papers for his other great talent - for when Shane Warne isn't spin-bowling, he can often be found chatting up beautiful women - and this time, it's English Rose, Liz Hurley, who he seems to have set his sights on. Shown here at Goodwood in the summer, the pair have been getting increasingly familiar and flirtatious on Twitter, and this weekend were spotted in a hotel together late at night. Liz is defending accusations that she is cheating on husband, Arun Nayar, claiming that they split some months ago. Shane split from his wife due to his philandering ways back in 2007, though he returned to her in 2009 and the pair still live together, although they are no longer a "couple".
Hmm, Celebritree assumes there are easier ways to carry on a long-distance relationship than via public domain, Twitter!

The Big Chill hits LA?

As much of Britain continues to suffer from "the big freeze", it looks like wearing some warm outerwear. It seems VB has invested in this season's essential item - a cape.

Celebritree would be pleased to see Victoria dressing appropriately for the season, if I weren't so concerned that she must be getting very chilly forearms...
Victoria, before you come back to Blighty, Celebritree reckons that you it must be getting a tad parky over in California, as Victoria Beckham has actually been spotted should invest in some winter woollens, or at least a long pair of gloves....

The Plot Thickens

So... Following yesterday's blog entry, it seems that things at X Factor were not quite what they seemed. In fact, having seen that "the nation's sweetheart's favourite", Cher Lloyd, was in the bottom two, it seems the producers / Simon Cowell had a change of heart and decided that the judges would have the final decision on who should go through to the final. And what do you know? Cher is through! Poor old Mary is off back to Tesco in Ireland, whilst the diva remains, with more strops to follow this week, no doubt.
Interesting also that for the first time, there are to be four acts in this year's final. Some had suggested that the bottom two acts would both go out last night, in order to reduce to a final three. Clearly, that was rethought too.
Cheryl looked to be showing the strain as she left the studio last night.
Whatever happens, Cher looks set to be the big winner of this year's X Factor as rumour has it that she is set to sign a $2 million record deal and her first album will feature a duet with her idol, Cheryl.

Cheryl lets her hair down

After having to deal with the diva in her team at X Factor, Cheryl Cole last night headed out to the Red Room in Mayfair with her Girls Aloud band mates (except Nadine, of course), Fergie and Will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas and the omnipresent, Joan (Chezza's mum).
Cheryl wasn't exactly attired for the freezing conditions, although it looks like some gentleman has offered his jacket to her as she headed home. Fergie was looking far more snug in a furry coat, that looked like it may have been borrowed from Sesame Street's Big Bird.

Injunction lifted

There has been plenty of talk about footballers using gagging orders to keep their sordid affairs out of the papers, but the latest gagging order to hit the papers was imposed by Howard Donald on his on/off mistress of ten years, Adakini Ntuli. It has now lifted and Adakini can't wait to tell the tabloids about "love cheat" Howard. Although Howard has never married, he does have two children by two previous long-term girlfriends. Adakini says that Howard met her when he was with the mother of his elder child, Grace. The two apparently began a passionate affair and Adakini didn't feel that Howard was trying to hide her away. When his relationship with Grace's mother, Victoria, broke down, however, he met someone else: Marie Christine, with whom he fathered his second daughter, Lola, now five. Adakini was disappointed that he still didn't make things official, and the pair broke up for a while. However, when it emerged earlier this year that Howard had had yet another mistress, Adakini threw a wobbly, texting Howard: 'Why should I continue 2 suffer financially 4 the sake of loyalty when selling my story will sort my life out?' So now, Celebritree waits with baited breath to see exactly how washing her dirty linen in public sorts her life out...

Lily Allen hits the town again

After her recent miscarriage and subsequent illness, Celebritree is pleased to see Lily Allen up and about again as she ventured up to the big smoke from her country abode. She was in London for the opening of an envelope (ooops! Miu Miu's new store) and was looking chic in a winter white coat and little black dress, with Chanel handbag.
Hopefully Lily will start to feel more like her old cheery self sometime soon.

Brangelina - Christmas shopping

After a whirlwind trip to Paris, to promote Ange's latest blockbuster, The Tourist, Brangelina and their brood are back in the US. This week they ventured out in NYC, as they took the twins, Vivienne and Knox, Christmas shopping at Lee's Art Shop. The twins were wrapped up warm against the New York cold, on a rare appearance out. Again playing with gender roles, it seems Knox's flowing locks may even be longer than those of his twin sister...

Cher's Lethal Weapon

As the X Factor reached its quarter final stage this weekend, some of the contestants are starting to feel the strain. Apparently Cher Lloyd threw a wobbly during rehearsals after she failed to complete her songs properly. She broke down in tears and then shrieked at the camera woman, "Get out of my face!" Mentor, Cheryl, had to step in and take her out for lunch (probably they shared a lettuce leaf or something) to give her chance to calm down.
It seems Cher's diva act had an encore last night after the show. Knowing that this week it is all down to the audience vote, with the judges apparently not having the power to save their favourites, Cher isn't feeling too confident of her dream to make the finals. This (so-called "shocking") photo shows Cher flipping out at one of the show's assistants as she brandishes a lethal weapon - or rather, a spoon, waving it in the long-suffering assistant's face.
All will be revealed this evening, so the wait is nearly over for poor Cher...

Kate back in court

At last, Katie Price has received the driving ban that seems to have been on its way for ages. This was a £1,000 fine and another 3 points on her licence (taking her over 12 points) for driving at 83mph. There have been a few more offences since then so things won't be getting better any time soon. It does mean she won't be able to drive her kids around, although something tells Celebritree that Katie can probably afford to fork out for a chauffeur (even after the £1000 fine)...

Comeback Queen

Watch out! Apparently Geri Halliwell is back in the studio recording a new solo album. Sadly she doesn't have a record deal, but the great thing now is that you have enough money, self-belief and the right contacts, you can record and release your own album on your own label - thereby keeping all the spondoolies yourself. Geri's master plan for chart domination begins with recording a dance version of a classic favourite track - the only issue being that she can't choose one, so is texting her mates, including Victoria Beckham, for suggestions. Any ideas for Geri, Celebritree readers?
